NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 Preview Comment Thread

As we’re posting this preview, NVIDIA’s CEO Jen-Hsun Huang is likely just finishing up on stage, presenting the latest addition to NVIDIA’s GTX 600-series lineup: the GTX 690. Damn, specs aside that thing just looks like it could eat any other card out there for breakfast.

Nice to see them use something else other then the "fantastic" plastic for the housing; very nicely done with the cast aluminum-magnesium alloy, as well as the overall estheatic. Although in all honesty, with initial grill teaser shot, I was thinking that nVidia would show off a passively cooled GTX 670, to showcase their design efficiency, then again GTX 690 was an obvious aim all along.

$499 for the 680 and $999 for the 690? Maybe there is a $799 single GPU GK110 in their works...?
But oh man this thing looks goddamn sexy.
