This card was going to cost 1000 no matter what, since that is what two 680's cost. What I appreciate is that they went the extra mile with excellent build quality.

Well since I just completed a new green theme build I guess I'll have to pick up a pair of these just for the LED's and looks.

I agree with Chromey. My GTX570 is still going strong for my purposes.
If I were to win one in a contest I'd need to clean my drawers but for $1,000 I don't need that kind of juice.

Looks like it will be a great halo card. One for everyone to want, and very few to have. Atleast it looks the part.

I am looking forward to the mid range 6xx series. Hopefully they won't disappoint.

At $1000 this makes little sense to me, better performance at the same price with 680 SLI. If the 690 were $800-900 then you'd have something amazing.

On the flip side of that coin, it is more efficient and quieter than a pair of GTX 680 cards. Not that hardcore gamers care but still....

Man, I really want to see the 660 and 670 line roll out. Not this overpriced Titanic of a video card!!! And I hope that Nvidia got the factories working on 3 x8 hour shifts to get the back orders taken care of so when these new cards come out. The consumer will actually have their new card. Instead of a notice say bad luck. under back order. Availblity Unknown!!!!!!

This surprises me. You would think Nvidia would be more interested in getting their mid range(and infinitely more profitable) cards on the market before they go for the ultra high end. Like me, i'm sure the majority are more interested in the gtx660 and 670 cards.
