| Looking good, excellent review! What do you guys think now, I plan on upgrading to this card really soon or whenever it becomes available. However, would you consider it a worthwhile upgrade from an 8800GTS 640MB?

Theres a typo on page 3, 1st paragraph 8800GTS its wirten 800GTS 9800GTX Features By now some of you may be wondering how this card really differs from the 8800GTS 512MB since that at face value the 9800GTX looks like an overclocked version of its smaller cousin and nothing more. Let’s be honest here: the 9800GTX IS an overclocked 8800GTS 512MB with faster memory but there is much more than what first meets the eye. Let’s take a look at some of the features this card has going for it. and another on on page 3 2nd paragraph isn't 9800GTX???? Nvidia has made the 9800GTX 3-way SLI compatible excellent review SKYMTL sorry for the typo i couldn't pass away ... :(

Great review SKY! Thorough and unbiased as usual. At a price of ~$315 when things settle down I'd agree with your rating of "Damn Good Value". However to get all the benefits of this card I'd also have to upgrade my MB. Maybe it's a good time to upgrade to a 512 GTS though ;) Quote:

Yeah. Interesting review and good comparisons. The "8800 GTS Super OC" isn't a bad card, but if I had a GTS, I'd still be pleased.

![]() I had 8800GTS 640MB SLI (96sp), I didnt like the concept, especially with the power it draws. So I sold one :)

I'd be interested to see the following comparison: 8800GT 512 SLI vs. 9800GTX vs. 9800GX2. Kind of a bang for your buck, how many FPS for each dollar spent comparison.
