Default GTX 580 Ultra Hydro Copper should I bite the bullet?

I need advice guys...

I know the gtx 680 just came out and that it has it's power efficiency increase and turbo boost mode more memory higher clock speed, pci 3.0... but they aren't available anywhere!

I'm in the middle of a build and modding will take me perhaps a month but after that month I wanna use the dang beast... So what do I do Auto notify newegg and evga and everywhere else and stock my computer like a mad man or bite the bullet and buy last generation gtx 580 which is still more than capable of doing everything that is required as far as gaming is concerned up to this point...??

In my heart I know I should be patient and wait but I don't like the game Nvidia is playing with the low stock game and high prices (Even though yes this card is the best on the market it makes sense that it's the highest priced...)

But in a couple months the GK110 comes out and then what??

What a crappy time to build haha!

Discuss ;)

Chomie.

Keep an eye out for 1 coming into stock, or pre-order..

Or better yet find a second-hand 580.
(a friend is upgrading his 580's to dual 680's and giving his GF one and me the other :D )

Honestly the 680 is so much better than the 580 I can't say you should get one.

Yea I know I have done a lot of research on it... The thing is that I haven't found anything on if its actually the 28nm chip manufacturing thats causing such a shortage in cards because if thats the case then its going to be a lot longer than a month for more cards to be released reference or not. I wish they would just give us some information about the situation...

Thanks for the reassurance it makes logical sense to wait and find a gtx 680, and never would I think of going the 7970 route... Just not a radeon fan boy
