Was only pointing out what you left out. That's all. Sorry if it came across any differently.

That pricing scheme is really going to squeeze the 78xx series cards. At $360 for 7870 and $400 for 7950 you'll be getting almost 7970 performance for an extra $40 bucks.

Of course those are reference design prices and a looka round teh dealers will show how few reference designs are actually on the market.

I got my reference design Powercolor 7870 for $339 from ncix, but since then its gone back up to $359. Seen it go as cheap as $329 at 1 point in time over the last 2 weeks, but most of the stock settings/cooling/slightly modified cooling solutioned cards are going for around the $349 price point. Of course this is also before price matching from other sites. ;)

I do agree with you though 7950, 7870 & 7650 need to be ajusted abit now cause of the price changes.

If anyone is interested, I will have a HD 7970 Lightning and two HD 7950 cards (MSI and Gigabyte) up for sale after the price drop. I want to gauge the final prices and then put the stuff up for sale.

Just curious why? Because of component and cooler quality?

On a second note the hd 7770 price drop will put it at the price it should have been launched at IMO. It will be a great low power decently performing card.

Local RMA, component quality, slightly better for the resolution I play at (2560 x 1600 + high AA), the additional memory makes a difference in the minimum framerates in some games.
