Default What's a good GPU stress program?

I want a program that will stress the GPU so I can monitor temps and get a idea of worst case in prep for a vGPU mod. I ran 3dMark06 a bunch of times in a row last night but it only raises the temps to ~39° from 35° idle also the temps would drop back immediately after the test so I don't think it's a particularly good tool.

BTW It's for a 8800GT so no ATItool, but one that would also scan for artifacts would be a bonus!

Thanks
Ryan

Try Riva Tuner and have nTune running to monitor temps.

Fur benchmark is what I use to find my highest temps

OpenGL Fur Rendering Benchmark download from Guru3D.com
Use Rivatuner to monitor temps.

LOL I didn't realize that Rivatuner would do that! That's what I need use to monitor the GPU temps, my ASUS card is picky that way. I use it to change clock settings too. I'll have to have a closer look at it when I get home.

The setting is at the top set of tabs, at the very right.

It'll even show fps + temps during a game if you set it up right.... :)

To scan for artifacts:
- Open Rivatuner and set clocks
- Open ATI tool
- Scan for Artifcats

Nothing beats the 3DMark Batch Render Test for stress testing of a GPU. At the highest triangle count it will heat up the core and memory more than any other program out there and if there is ANY problem with an overclock it will with freeze or BSOD your comp. ;)

Default Profile

Once you have your clocks set where you want them adding a game profile is easy, heres a very simple setup assuming the OC has already been applied.
