Are you sure this isn't a problem of poor SLI scaling for the 580s in the game tested? Also, that really doesn't make sense why the 680 is louder than SLI 580.... not at all... Also... a ~30% overclock on the 680 kinda isn't a fair comparison.

It was a quick couple of benches. It is what it is.Off course SLI 580 is faster but in the benches I did a 680 is not too bad.

Yes, either way you spin it, the 680 is impressive. A stock 680 is within 10% (on average) of a GTX 590 or HD 7990. Mine is currently 10 hours away by driving... sigh... gotta go pick it up or get my mom to ship it up here for me. Personally, I think I'll suffer the performance loss and wait a while before picking up a second 680 to see if a better card or just a price war happens in the next month or two.

^^^ Your MK11 Score sucks for SLi 580 3GB...I get 13.5K with a slight OC on my 580's (950 Mhz).....someting aint adding up here...although the 680 is an impressive Card, it still cannot stand up at all to a couple of 580 3GB Cards, according to my Benches compared to your numbers...if I Jack my 580's to 1Ghz, I blow away your numbers completely, as in P14K in MK11.

I guess you did not read my post. You can always prove how fast your 580 sli is by matching the benches I posted,Do not forget I owned 580 SLI so here is a slight overclock on 935 core for 13.5 in MK11.

This is called a CPU bottleneck my friend, no way in hell a 2GB card no matter how new spanks last gens 3GB card in SLI, it just can't happen plain and simple. This is like someone trying to tell me a 560Ti 448 core is knocking 480SLI around the block, just not possible, unless you were really heavily CPU bottlenecked to begin with, then it would appear the newer card is better, but in fact you just never felt the true power SLI 580 3GB had(no you didn't, don't even attempt to say it has nothing to do with CPU) I have built over 100K in gaming rigs and counting, I have seen just about everything, and this is a classic case of way to little PC for the graphics cards, simple CPU/mobo swap and you would have about doubled the power of your 580 SLI, instead of losing $ on them, and telling us all a 680 beats SLI580.

So a 2600K@5Ghz bottlenecks 580 sli. Please tell me what does not bottleneck 580 and the CPU and motherboard it would work twice as fast on.
Come on dude this is not my first computer.

580 SLI is faster but in the test I did the 680 was faster.I am not going to argue with you and someone with 580SLi can post same benches and we will see what they get.
