Post Upgrades

Currently I'm running a i5 650, ASUS P7P55D-E, 16GB DDR3 1600 Corsair RAM, and HD 6950 2GB. I have 3 1080p displays running eyefinity. I'm wondering what should I look into as far as investing in my computer. Should I get a 2nd 6950 and C-fireX the cards and buy a newer processor with a new motherboard or get a GTX 680, sell off my 6950 2GB and buy a new CPU with a new MOBO?

Buy an Ivy bridge next month with a new Z77 motherboard and grab a GTX 680.

Default Eh,

I'm waiting for the Ivy Bridge processor's to be released. Although, which card performs better the GTX 680 or the 7970 w/ 3 1080p monitors?

Probably the 680. I'm really not sure how well eyefinity is working these days to be honest.. But regardless, the 680 is the better buy so 680 would be the one to get.

The 680 is definitely better, but I don't know how much vram 3x1080p monitors will use up. The 2gb on the 680 may be a limiting factor. Might need to go for a 7970 3gb or wait for a 680 4gb.

Default Well

I will get two of whatever I get for videocards, now they need to be able to offer amazing performance when SLI'ing or C-Fireing for a massive res. gaming and I want it to max out any game regardless. No lag, it bugs me to play a game and have that annoying lag when your trying to win. 60fps no matter what.
