If I were to choose a 8800GT from XFX out of those 2, I would choose the one without the factory OC. It's a bit cheaper and the OC is near useless.

Are you sure you don't wanna get a 8800GTS 512? There's an EVGA one on sale for $229.99 @ NCIX.

I'm cheap, so I'd probably get a Galaxy KFA2 9600GT from NCIX as they're $139.99 after a $50 MIR. But if you're set on XFX, they also have one on sale for $149.99 after a $30 MIR.

The choice is yours...just remember that 9600GT > 8800GT > 8800GTS 512

Just to answer your original question: I would pick the non-OC'd 8800GT.

I personally would get the non-overclocked 8800GT. You can flash the overclocked BIOS to your GPU if you really want, but you will probably get much better overclocks using rivatuner. The minor $20 difference from the 9600GT will be well worth it IMO.

This is true the non-clocked 8800GT would be the better deal.

I would spend the extra $ and get the 8800GT.

EDIT: If you don't care about MIRs , NCIX has a XFX 9600GT for $150 and a XFX 8800GT 512MB for $220. They also have a Palit 8800GT on sale for $170 and a Galaxy 8800GTS 512MB for $225.

I've heard good things about that Palit. And I haven't seen any complaints about the KFA2. I'd go for the Palit, it's usually over $240.

Check this out:
XFX GeForce 8800GT XT 512MB 640MHZ 1.9GHZ GDDR3 PCI-E DIRECTX10 Video Card - DirectCanada - $232.14

It's clocked higher than the one you have posted and is about $20 cheaper. I ordered that exact board about a month ago when I noticed it was only slightly more expensive than the stock boards, and cheaper than most other factory overclocked boards. I was a little worried that maybe the price was an error, but I received it and have had no problems.

Am I the only person on this forum to notice the 8800GTS 512MB XFX card is $269 and there is even a $20 rebate making it $249 if you send that in????

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=27371

If you are sending $200+ then it only makes sense to spend the extra and get the GTS. I love mine and am awaiting funds for it's twin and some SLI action.
