570 classified OC?
 

I have been fiddling around with the clock speeds of my 570 classified, but it seems that when i run games at 900Mhz, i get no performance boost over the stock 833Mhz. Should OC'ing give me a performance boost or is it pointless?

To be honest, the only games where you'll probably notice a visible difference are the ones with the lowest minimum frame rates. Can you tell the difference between 60 and 66 FPS? Not likely. Can you tell the difference between 35 FPS and 40 FPS? I usually can.

Well, i really only wanted to see if it made a difference in performance with others.. I now ran a benchmark in skyrim, which for the first time allowed me to see a difference, it ran about 10% faster, so i guees there's nothing funny going on after all :biggrin:

just for my own curiosity, what voltage r u on at 900mhz?

im running 925mhz @ 1.088V, but my 570 is an MSI, so you might be able to run at 1.075v? voltage+speed is different is different for every card. I've seen some 570s requiring 1.1V for 900mhz. play around in afterburner!
