Default video card desiions

okay i have the chance to buy a new video card from a friend of mine he has two to chose from the first is a geforce gtx 560 and the second is a radeon 6870.
i play a few games like star wars and guild wars nothing to much, but i do watch a lot of movies which would you guys chose between?

Edit: I mean 560 ti or non ti? And what manufactures? Are there any after market mods?

just a stock gtx 560 no ti or anything they are both new in the box so no aftermarket mods

I'd say for for the GTX 560. IDK now, but AMD drivers were pretty crappy a few months ago.

Both cards trade blows. I would look at how each card performs in the games you intend to play with. There shouldn't be a big difference either way. If you plan to fold, go for nVidia.

na now folding on this rig. as far as gaming its not much guild wars 2 if it come out maybe sc2 thats really about it i just watch alot of movies on my pc

The hd 6870 is marginally faster and consumes a bit less power. The gtx 560 is known to have better drivers and will perform better in some games.

Without knowing exactly which brand and model for the two cards I would lean toward the 560, but there is no wrong choice at that price.
