Default Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 3GB OC Review Comment Thread

The HD 7970 is currently one of the most popular cards around and Gigabyte has once again done their part to design a custom card that improves upon the reference design in nearly every way possible. While their OC edition may not sport ultra high clock speeds, it more than makes up for this shortcoming by incorporating the WindForce 3X heatsink which allows for significantly cooler temperatures and near silent operation.

Nope, he's there on the last page.

One other thing I want to mention here is the possibility that HD 7970 prices may go even higher. It seems like restocking on several SKUs just isn't happening on a regular basis and demand is quite high. I've already seen some stores selling the XFX, ASUS and Gigabyte custom versions for $625 USD.

Did you say this is voltage locked or just didn't feel the need to go higher? My Gigabyte 6970OC is locked and won't overclock one bit.

Gigabyte sent it to him so he could do a review and they could get the word out.

Voltage can be increased through MSI's Afterburner.
