My System Specs

Default P6124 in 3d mark 11. Is that a lot?

Tried basic version. Test said it is ok for the hardware. Yeah, I know, need better CPU.

You can compare your 3dmark11 scores with other members in this thread here: 3DMark 11 is online! Post you scores!

And actually your 7970 is probably seriously held back because of your cpu.

probably is an understatement, it IS bottlenecking it to an insane amount.

Ok yea it was an understatement. You'll want a 2500k OC'd to at least 4ghz then you should be safe from bottlenecking from the cpu in games.

I got a 2500k with a 560ti overclocked and here is my score.. Still think its good? :P

This is what I got with a "crap" Driver and a Single 580 about a year ago last Nov....is your Quad Core OC'd at all? The newer Drivers out now should allow me to reach around P8K with Single Card I'm sure.

I beat that score last year with a i7 920@3.8ghz and a gtx 570@810mhz.

I bet a newer CPU would seriously help that score regardless, that Q9650 must be holding back that 7970 like nuts.

I would run 3dmark11 again only this time at Extreme settings (1080P). IMO one must be realistic. If you are trying to get a good "Performance" score out of 3D11 then ya, you will need a better cpu. I am more curious about bottlenecking in real to life scenarios and that is not at 720P!

Not everyone uses 1080p :P
