My System Specs

Default Question for EVGA GTX 580 SSC

Hi guys, i have buy a Ecga GTX 580 SSC. I found it used for 350$ Not bad. The card still have the plastic protection on.

So, i just would likke to know if that normal that the card is reaching 82c while gaming ? IM pretty sure it is but i just want to be sure.

Sounds slightly high you may want to manually set fan speeds using MSI Afterburner if you want better temps. As for will it kill your gpu or not, it probably won't affect it my 4890 runs at 80c a lot of the time and it's 4 years old.

The SSC is second highest clocked from Factory stock. So you are talking about a high end card there, running right at its limit.
As suggested just set your own fan profile to be a bit more aggressive on the cooling, and remove that plastic. Bad idea to have it on there.

thanks guys. Proctection film is already off. Don't worrie about that.

Im gonna take a look at the fan profile with evga precision.

You could also use eVGA's Precision and OC Scanner to tune your fan.

flash to newer bios to unlock fan speed
GTX 500 Series Firmware Update + Fanspeed Unlockers

haven't seen mine hit 40c yet lol

if your card doesn't hit 40+ while gaming then you're doing something wrong, or are being lied to.
