Any decent Aftermarket Cooler you'llbe lucky to get a decrease of Max Load Temps of around 8c...so you were running 60c Max prior to installing your Aftermarker Cooler?...yeah right hahahaha!

Tri SLi 580's all stock with Fans running at 78% I saw Max Temps on middle Card of 74-78c..perfectly fine, likely around 70c with a single Card

The only problem with those Aftermarket Coolers is they dump the heat from the Card into the Case ...that sucks.....and they prohibit running SLi with a decent space between the Cards.

The 580's certainly dont need an Aftermarket Cooler(as compared to the 480's), as a Max Temp of 75-80c is perfectly fine for these Cards and there Stock Cooler is specifically designed to expel the heat out the back of the Case!If your going to install an Aftermaket Cooler on these Cards, may as well "do it right" and install Waterblocks! Otherwise its a waste of time n $$$!

....But the Cards CAN be OC'd well beyond FTW speeds SC speed is 797Mhz....no problem running 100% stable at 850Mhz with Stock 1.088v
You are welcome to come over and have a look and listen. I can run Furmark, I just ran it for a little bit, didn't top 50C. Fan didn't go above 50%, like I said, it is set to match temp.

I did mention the case temp in the post above, yes, it goes up, but not to a terrible amount.

I could try running Shogun 2 DX11 and see where it settles out, or Skyrim if you like, or Fallout NV. I don't have Crysis, Fear or BF3.

If you want to come over send me a PM... I think I have some beer in the fridge. I know I have some wine left, or some Crown in the cupboard... you would have to bring your own mix for the Crown (if you like mix).

I also find that hard to believe though, maybe a few screen shots of GPU-Z's sensor tab while it's running?

that's extremely cool even for an aftermarket cooler I'm thinking!

Sounds good....that AFMCooler sounds quite impressive, I'm just finishing off the last of my Rum ;) Been trying like hell to climb past a guy n 3DMK11 who's sitting at P14008.....fvck me...hit P14K, anymore and I Blackscreen!!!
Really, that is impressive that your cooler can keep Temps that low, wouldn't work for me running more than one Card though...

To the OP...if your running a single 580 then perhaps take a look at what Dwayne is talking about...sounds quite impressive!

Sorry Dwayne ;)

Just played a scenario in Shogun 2, DX11 most settings Ultra and my temp topped out about 58C. Took about 30 min to win the scenario :) Like I said, fan profile is set linear so the temp and the fan are the same.
