Hmm, I'm definately cancelling my backorder of the 7970 and ordering one of these...

I only need to figure out which one. I just wish ASUS would hurry their asses up and release their custom heatsink version, damnit. Why are they so slow with this?

Excellent reviews as always. The Sapphire card does impress. Cool and quiet are always near the top of my must have list. The 7950 is very impressive in performance/watt. Hopefully the rest of the lineup will not disappoint. The power savings vs the 6970 (which was still no slouch in performance/watt) is amazing. I don't see how that could all be from the reduced manufacturing size...it must be an efficient new architecture (GCN). You know Nvidia will have the performance side of the equation when it releases its new GPU, but I wonder how it will stand in the power consumption part of the equation.

Again, you won't see competitive or aggressive pricing until nVIdia launches there salvo.

I wonder how much the prices will drop once Nvidia releases their new GPU. I wonder if it's worth it to wait and see......I am not really in a big rush to get a new GPU since my current one still works but I want one now! lol

I would hate to buy a new 7950 and then have the price drop by $50 or more a few weeks later :(

Any attempts at unlocking to 7970's Sky?

I know its never a sure thing, but it would be nice to see an attempt and the success possibilities mentioned....

I don't get the pricing, the 5850 was only $300 at launch, without any competition other than the 5870 in the DX11 world at the time.
