BF3 and 560Ti

I have a GTX 560ti that seems to be having issues with bf3. Whenever i try to play the game at ultra i get around 40-60 fps and temps reach around 60. However after about 15 minutes into a game, i would notice that artifacts begin to appear. Is it just my card that has this problem, the 560ti cards in general, or just bf3 that's causing this issue?

If its only after around 15 or so it is likely temperature or driver related. My gtx 460 gave me a similar problem with artifacts after anywhere from 2 min to 15 min, but only while playing SCII. The issue went away after a clean windows install (had switch from integrated graphics to the gtx 460). Does it give artifacts in every game, or just BF3?

One of my my friend has the same issue with the same card. In his case, it looks like it was a bad RAM stick. Also, you should try a lower resolution. Ultra settings for a 560 is a lot beef to eat...

Yes, Ultra settings is TOO AMBITIOUS for a single 560Ti (1GB version) card IMHO. You have to have a CORE 448 version of the card, with 1.28GB of RAM, or a 560Ti 2GB, to see better performance...

I got the 2 x 560Ti in SLI ( MSI 880MHz cards in sig), and I run the game at 1680 x 1050, all HIGH SETTINGS with VSYNC ON....I prefer good stable FPS and HIGH settings to lag/stutter and a few hard to see improvements in graphics...

Temperature-wize, 60 is nothing no issues there....you might want to use drivercleanerpro to wipe out all nvidia drivers and start from scratch...you might have other stability issues...could be the card itself...

If BF3 is the only game you have issues with, maybe it's drivers...
If all games are causing issues, might be the card...anyway, PNY has a decent warranty, you could RMA if you come to doubt the card...
You could also price match another PNY 560Ti ..aren't they dropping to 200$ at times?

What are you using to monitor your temps? 60c doesn't sound like it would be causing your system to artifact, but if you want to verify it you can use something like MSI afterburner to either peg the fan speed to max, or (this is what I do with my SLI setup) set a custom fan profile that's a bit more agressive than the default one.

You must have your card OC'd to hell to get those FPS on ultra... When I run my card at 980/1960/2301 I get those FPS on high settings (multiplayer anyways).

Maybe your OC is unstable.

Ok, well i just built my new pc a couple of weeks ago so windows is clean without any clutter. Yes i overclocked it to 880/1760/2100 and i'm only running on a 1650x1050 monitor. My other specs is a i7 2600k @4.2Ghz, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance ddr3 ram. i'm using msi afterburner to monitor my temps in-game which also displays the fps i'm getting. fan speeds are set to 75% max and my temps never go over 60c. Options in battlefield are all on the highest (except no anti-aliasing) and runs anywhere from 40 fps min to 60 fps. And yes this only happens in BF3 Multiplayer. On singleplayer or on any other game (shogun, skyrim ...etc) there are no artifacts what so ever.

Also using a 750W psu so power shouldn't be the problem either =/

Run Furmark for 10 mins and tell us if there is any artifacting, if yes your OC is unstable.

^^Agree. Run a stress test. Could be an unstable OC.

I'll run the stress test but i doubt the OC is the problem because i had artifacting problems in bf3 even at stock settings. Using drivers 290.53 but it didn't solve the problem =/
