Default Vista drivers

Anyone have information concerning whether or not running the beta ATI drivers will improve game performance over the default display drivers in Vista?

I realize that there'll be no CCC but has a site benched any games between these two yet?

Hmm... if not, maybe I'll have to take a look into it

Are you running Vista yet?

I installed Vista on a couple of 7600GT systems, and I had absolutely no trouble with aero, but I can't say that I did any game testing on them :(

Please report when you have some results.

Well so far I haven't seen any noticeable frame-rate drops when playing BF2142, CS:S, HL2, or GR:AW.

I've yet to uninstall the drivers though, will report back when I do!

What release candidate and build of Vista are you using?

You should give the Supreme Commander demo a try.... I'm looking forward to retail release. If I'm not mistaken, it may very well be the first DX10 title to launch... I don't think the BETA supports DX10 yet though.
