Default gtx 460 prices

I am not sure where to post this.

I have replied to some kijiji ads but no one seems to answer them or maybe it's going to my spam or something.

I figure $100 is a decent price. Is it?

I am watching for some to be for sale but I don't know how often they are for sale here.

I wanted something between $80 and $100, really.

It's for moderate gaming but has to be Nvidia.

Should I post an ad in B&S section (WTB)? Also, I cannot afford to get one until early next week so around next month (Feb).

How do you buy your used video cards and what is a good amount to pay for shipping? Around $10 or do you just ask for the buyer to give the price including shipping? Thanks.

If I can't find one for that price, I might just buy a GT 520. I want the card for video play but some gaming. I don't think that card would do much with gaming so I thought a little more, I can get a gtx 460. :)

Yes 100 is fair, some new ones have popped up here and there close to that price.

Nvidia for 100 bucks, maybe a used high end 2xx card would cut it. The 550ti is kind of a POS but I think the 520 would be useless.

They do come up around the $100 used, but there doesn't seem to be many for sale. If you need to stay around that mark keep your eyes open for a 550...not the best card in the world, but light years ahead of a 520.

100$ is the price i paid for the three i have: two on ncix.com ebay outlet (one 105 and the other 110$ iirc) and one at 90$ here. I'm not including shipping cost. And all were MSI gtx cyclone 768mb version, and got an awesome cooler: quiet yet powerful. I think your best bet would be to check on ebay, as on forum like this one, they sell VERY fast!

They do sell fast...they are pretty powerful for the budget minded gamer....hence why I have one. Bought mine when it was new for $125+tax and shipping then $25 MIR...That was about as cheap as they got...started going back up shortly after I bought.

seems to be good price, brand new they are around $150 or so for the 336 shader 1gb model, which is still very fair price considering how fast they actually are.

I say the best lower cost cards are probably that, GTX 460 338 shader 1gb or Radeon 6850/5850(have seen these for $154 brand new)

Zotac GeForce GTX 460 Fermi 675MHZ 768MB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini-HDMI PCI-E DX11 Video Card - Zotac - ZT-40401-10P (ZT-40404-10H) this GTX 460 768mb is $105 after MIR brand new so I would be looking under $100.

Why not just buy this though?
MSI GeForce GTX 550 Ti OC 950MHZ 4300MHZ 1GB GDDR5 2xDVI Mini-HDMI PCI-E Video Card - MSI/MicroStar - N550GTX-Ti M2D1GD5/OC
It will give you similar framerates as a GTX 460 but it comes factory overclocked and you get something brand new with a warranty.

Edit: Really your best choice in this price range is a used AMD HD 6850 but if it has to be nvidia it has to be nvidia.

How does the 550ti compare? At least, it's new but a $100 460 1gb would be much more powerful, right?

I'm way ahead of ya. :) I looked but all I found are high shipping charges and many cards priced at 'online store' prices. I think $25+ is way too high for shipping.

I thought about going up to $120 on kijiji if someone would answer my inquiry but only if it includes shipping. Avoiding tax counts for something, though, but I thought the prices should be going down by now. :-(

After all, if one can tolerate the rebates, I think some 560 1gb cards (non-Ti) go for about $160?

25 shipping for a video card is somewhat cheap, they're expensive to ship. :P I bought my old 460 for $115 shipped, and sold it for 110 shipped iirc so its quite easy to find them in your price range, make a WTB thread I'm sure someone has an extra one.

I just noticed someone sold a GTX 560 and I believe a GTX 460 went for $120. Another one went for $60 in Vancouver?!?

I guess I am destined not to find/get one. :-( I can try but I seem to notice ads after the card gets sold. :-/

So, I should plan for shipping to raise the price $20 give or take?
