gtx 460 prices

$100 for a 460 768mb maybe. But whatever you do, do NOT get a 520

I'm just bumping this to ask a question.

Are the current 560s just re-modified 460s? I mean, are the heat sinks the same?

I found some 460s FS and I was hoping someone here could compare them.

MSI Cyclone gtx 460 1gb
PNY gtx 460 1gb

The PNY sends the heat out of the case while the MSI card's cooler design doesn't. What does that mean? If I have sufficient cooling with my case fans, it wouldn't be a problem? Or?

I think I'd probably lean towards the PNY card. I think both sellers will ask for $100+ shipping. Is that a good price for a 460 card now? I noticed newegg had the 460 1gb for $109 w/ free shipping but it's listed as 'out of stock' and probably won't ever return. I wasn't even going to look for these cards but it's not a bad deal? I was going to buy a 550 or 520GT to use as htpc until prices went down further.

But, the 460's idle temps and power consump. isn't too bad. Any comments?

buy my 560ti for only about $65 more LOL, okay no more self advertising. IMO a $100 for a 460 is kinda a lot now, i would only pay up to $85-90 for one. A 6870 is imo a lot better than a 460 and you can pick them up for $130ish, a 560Ti/6950 are another ~20% faster than a 6870 and you can pick them up as low as ~$170ish. My 2 cents.
