Question about High Def I don't think my graphics card I got for my HTPC has a HDMI port, I think it's just DVI would that still be providing HDMI? I'll try and get the card info in a day or two, but I believe it said it pushed audio and video out the same cable, is that possible with DVI? If so can DVI produce true HD?...I really want true HD badly. |
You can get DVI to HDMI adapter, DVI to DVI on your TV will still push HD though as the resolution is not more then 1080p in most cases. I cannot recall if DVI pushes audio, I think HDMI only will?? You can go right from your sound card/audio to your set though no problem. |

I know the DVI-HDMI adapter I had with my 4870x2 could pass through audio. However, I think they're pretty special adapters, although that adapter worked with my GTX570 for sound as well. Also, it'll handle 1080p no problem. |
It's ok I got a 5670 and it does say HDMI on the box :) |
The 5670 can handle 1080p HD playback with no issues whatsoever, seeing as I've used one to do just that. |
