Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 2GB Dual Fan Review Comment Thread The HD 7970 may be the graphics card everyone is talking about but it only just became available in somewhat limited quantities and pricing is far beyond the reach of most consumers. But while the Southern Islands-based cards will take over AMD’s flagship range, lower end cards still provide great performance at a fraction of the cost. That's where Sapphire's HD 6970 Dual fan enters the equation. Read more here: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...an-review.html |
What were the OC clocks? |
Damn it! Just when I was ready to send this card back to Newegg and get the 7970, you come out with a very positive review of the card that has been sitting boxed up at my place since christmas. What to do...*sigh* |

Fantastic review!!! Bought this card mainly for Battlefield 3. I haven't messed with any settings, but I can play on high with vsync enabled and never drop below 60 fps. I recommend installing Sapphire TriXX (free) to set a custom fan speed for gaming. I have it set so it will run 50% speed at 60 degrees Celcius. For me, this setting is perfect - the card runs relatively quiet and the temp never goes above 65 degrees Celcius. My case is an Antec 902 and my room temp 72-76 degrees Ferinheight. The card comes with all the accessories you need including a crossfire and hdmi cable. I have no doubt I would be satisfied with this card running any current game. Would definately buy again. As always Amazon delivered a great price, service, and delivery. |
