High end cards shouldn't be air cooled... liquid cooling is the way to go.

I picked up two XFX 6970's after these were announced for $299 each so I'm going to skip this gen. That is unless AMD's drivers don't start shaping up then I will be jumping on Keplar.

I had 2 xfx 6950. unlocked and o/c to 925/1400, but i pissed off at the driver issues i had getting CF to work properly. To me it is peace of mind with 1 card, well that and i had the itch.

Personally, I would wait for the MSI twin frozr. Those card have been awesome on every point with all the last version that went on market.

I am skeptical about reviews other than actual user reviews. I need to see actual launch cards with good reviews and overclocks, not pre-launch reviews. Maybe i am conspiring that AMD gave out cherry cards for pre-launch hype, but i want to make sure. Bulldozer took a big blow for AMD, and well it wouldn't surprise me. Just like they pushed back 7950, did they actually push it back due to quantity, or are the holding it back to recoop money from 7970 cause they know 7950 will be able to o/c to a 7970 for 100$ less? - a-al 6950 unlock vs 6970 scenario?
