560TI SLI VS 560TI 448
Should I be looking @ a pair of 560 TI's or would a 560T1 448 hold me over.

My children are looking @ BF3 with as much detail as possible running @ 1080P

Well, for the cost, 2 560Ti or a single 560Ti 448, or single 570/580 all will almost max out BF3 in every way. Myself I would stick with a single card(less likely to have "issues) The 560 448, GTX570/580 would be the better route to go. Course if you really had some coin to spend, depending on what your $ is of course, 580 3gb or Radeon 7970/7950(which are due out in a couple days) could more or less easily handle BF3 maxed out in pretty much every regard. I am a Radeon guy myself, and I know the 6950/6970 do play BF3 real well, but the eye candy cannot be maxed as much as the Nvidia counterparts, which is where 7970/7950 eat the Nvida cards for breakfast, also stay cooler and use less power :)

A 560 448 is basically a 570 on the cheap, its not quite the same card, but almost identical performance, sometimes better.
