You are honeslty going to want a 1kW power supply just for safety sake if you plan on overclocking anything in the sytem.

You really want a larger psu, 1k should be good. My 580 SLI system pulls quite a bit and has come very close to 800W according to my APC. Now you have to remember at that time it was highly OC'd (both CPU and GPU) and it ran on a AX850 psu, but just barely. Because of that I would not run a 590 SLI system with this psu, a AX1200 sure but not the AX850.
