Default Quick question XFX 5870 crossfire

I have an XFX 5870, I haven't been in the loop for a few years.
I'm thinking of having a crossfire setup but I can see that 5870's are no longer on the market?
What should I consider that would play well with my 5870? a 6870?

You can only crossfire your 5870 with a 5850 or a 5870, that's it.

You would have to get another 5870 you can not use a 6xxx's series card with a 5xxx's series card but you could sell your 5870 in 2 or 3 months and get a new 7xxx's series that are 28nm instead of 40nm

you can only crossfire a 5870 with either a 5970/5870/5850; the 6000 series is a different core, so it won't work with it

Awesome, thanks for the answers guys. I will be on the lookout for another XFX 5870. Don't really want to drop premium dollar on the ATI 7k series lol. If I were younger when I had money or older when I have a stable job but I'm in university = worst time financially lol.

If you are still in the market for some 5870's....I've got a pair thats available now (I just picked up a GTX680), was originally running GTX480 but gave that to my wife and ran the 5870's sparingly.

Here's a link to the cards if interested:
