graphics card for 70 -100 CAD
 

Hi,
I am planning to get a graphic card.please check my system specs.
I wish to play games at these settings

resolution - 1366 x 768
setting -medium -high with no AA or 2AA
max budget - 70-100 $ including tax
games- motogp 08,sbk series ,f1 10,11,BF3

please suggest me a good card .

New or Used 460GTX, a few seems to come up once in a while in the BST section.

ati 5670.. but im not sure if its capable of running bf3..

GTX 460 768MB would be my choice at that price point!

Unfortunately I don't think you will ever see a new gtx 460 (even 768mb version) at the $100 mark anymore.

Watch sales for a gtx 550Ti/hd 5770/hd 6770. They are about as powerful as you will get new at the $100 dollar mark, but you will have to watch for sales.

If you are in more of a hurry to buy then check for a gts 450/ hd 5750 and if you need to keep costs further down then an hd 5670/6670. Just remember that you are losing performance as you drop down these models.

what is the use of OpenGL ? 5670 has 3.2 OpenGL and gt 440 and AMD 6 series has 4.1 OpenGL.

most of the games are designed with DirectX in mind so OpenGL is going to be useless for you. Go for a used GTX 460 best bet, or otherwise lower the resolution you game on.

He is already at a low resolution.

how is sapphire & gigabyte's RMA support ?
do they have service centre in canada ?
