Default ATI Diamond 6950 XOC

Hey , I just bought an ATI Diamond 6950 XOC from Best Buy, The card is awesome but I thought I was buying the older reference design with the one fan and the graphic picture on the front. But what I got is a Dual fanned, copper piped over clocking beast with the Dual Bios which is unlockable. The card also comes pre overclocked at 840, 1300, and cheap I got it for $255 (after price match, for a different 6950)
When I tried looking this card up on the net I get nothing for it ( not a picture, not a review) as far as I can tell only Best Buy and future shop sells it. So ya I found it it odd that a place was selling such an awesome card that NOBODY knows about.

My question is does anybody know anything about this card?

Sorry, I cant post the link, but if you goto Best buy.ca It's there.

Thats the one, the 2gb from best buy. But it looks nothing like the one on the Diamond site link, this one has dual fans and copper piping which I think is a much better card, I thought people would have been talking more about it just because it appears to be a better card and XOC from the factory

You should take a pic and show us what you have.
All the ones I have seen are single fan

I never said high quality, I said it,s awesome, for $255, but nobodies heard of it and i didn't want a dud, ive never seen these ones or a review or mention diamond has an overcklocked unlockable 6950's. I know nothing about this card exempt it runs really cool, quiet and I unlocked shaders in dual bios easily. Anybody know anything about these?

Default 6850 XOC Prototype

Thanx, you could be right, Cant find these anywhere.. Another thing I noticed with this card is it's really light. Anyways bit of a mystery I was hoping more people here might have seen it cuz of the still usable dual bios. I have successfully unlocked it I'm gonna call Diamond today and see if I can get some answers.

Hello
As a rep for Diamond I can say that is one of our 6950 I remember the case with the other person that had the 6850. The card is not a prototype. After a while AMD stops making the reference card (the one with the long black fan cover) and we are told to make cards using their board. This card is the same as the 6950 AMD reference card it just has a different fan cover and fan. All the specs are going to be the same and it will give you the same performance as a AMD reference 6950. If you have any questions about the card send me a message.

Does that mean you could potentially unlock it to a 6970 since it is a reference card, cause that would be pretty good deal if you can. Or is this like the newer ones so you can't do it even if you try to flash it.
