So these cards are essentially reject 570 and 580s? Which means VERY limited run?

Great.

I mean, for anyone willing to overclock, they essentially get a GTX570+ for slightly cheaper. Especially that Gigabyte one.

Yes. GF110 cores.

Personally, I think of the GTX 560 Ti 448 as this generation's 7900 GTO.

Amazing review of an amazing card. Im really happy with your breakdown of the Damn awards too, although I feel the Gigabyte card is the winner of the bunch personally, due to a better cooler, and better pricepoint then the EVGA.

The core 448 is really the GTX 260 core 216 all over again and we know how popular that card was! The difference will be supply this time around. The core 216 was well stocked because they sorted out the node manufacturing issues, and got better yields, thus the new '216' model at the same price point while the old core dropped in price. Unfortunately, this card will be different, since they are using reject 570 chips. Supply will be a lot slimmer I suspect, as the manufacturing has been good (hence the 5xx series rebrand and slight change from 4xx) for quite a while now.

BF3 fans will probably like it if the price drops.

For me not that big a deal, gtx 570 goes for $270- $290 no mir now and then, 560ti 448 no big deal at all.

Do appreciate the review though, thanks.

Nice review. It will all come down to what they are actually sold as when we see them on the market. Could be a great HD GPU.

The days of the sub-$300 GTX 570 are pretty much done as of today. Various retailers and etailers have confirmed this to us.

Yup, I figured that was coming, it's more of a squeak the prices up release. I look at it as it's a cruddy time to buy cards right now on the nv side, ati still has some good enough deals. I'm just waiting to see what the 6xx and 7xxx series have to offer next year.

Kinda hoping they would be in that price range of $289.
