My System Specs

Default 7000 series or 600 series?

Any idea on the release dates for upcoming next gen series products from nvidia or ati?

Late Q1 2012, it's going to be a while still before we see the high end stuff of either as well. Rumour as it they'll be launching with their mid range cards, with the high end ones coming a few months after that.

Default Still trying to figure out the bugs

I guess they still have no real need to launch higher platforms as the 580 , 590 and 6990 are still mean beasts.

6950 or 6970 are probably the best deals available atm imo. Depends how much you need one vs want one. I doubt anything will be more taxing then BF3, and if you can run that on high playable, I would hold off.

My System Specs

Default Extreme-Z 16x16x8

In TriFire with 6950's flashed to 6970's I will get 16x16x8 apparently.

This seems like the most cost effect option and gives you better than 580 gtx's in sli performance it seems.

Is this an accurate statement?

There's always seems to be driver issues with triple card setups. Probably not worth it unless you are going for x79 for the better scaling
