Default BattleField 3 on HD4850

Dear Linus, I am currently running an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 stock with a old HD 4850 512MB and 4GB of Ram... I can play the game fine on 1280x1024 60hz resolution with auto settings that is High on everything except for low texture quality , low terrain quality , Motion blur is on, Anisotropic filter is on 16x and ambient occlusion on HBAO.

I don't really feel any lag while playing the game but i noticed that the GPU temperature is well above 100 Celsius and can reach 108 Celsius at certain times.

Is this ok with HD4850 ? I heard many people saying it reaches 110 Celsius on full load, but i am abit scared of overheating this graphic card, any suggestions on this ?

I would say 100 degrees is WAY WAY too much, adjust your fan profiles with msi afterburner and try too keep it below 80.

Agreed with the fan profiles for MSI Afterburner. Also, you can install aftermarket cooling on it for a LOT lower temps.

Too hot. As others said, increase fan speed. If fan speed is high and the card is still hot you may need to clean the fan/heatsink inside, or take the heatsink off and re-apply some thermal compound.
