^^^^ Then its a no-brainer...GTX 580's 3GB all the way....will be far better than 590's at 1.5GB;) Even my set-up with 2560x1440 would be better with 3GB Cards....in fact I'm entertaining selling off my present Cards (while prices are still solid) and picking up a couple of 3GB versions... :)

For what its worth the biggest complaint I was hearing re:590's was/is low Clock speeds, inability to OC without instability and the "Micro-stutter issues" that seemed to have plagued nv dual GPU Cards.

Ummm a single 590 at high reso and with settings thrown up, starts couging some, most benchmark places show that yes it is in fact somewhat memory starved(dont forget 1.5gb per chip loses some to overhead so in effect is maybe 1.2gb memory or so) overclocking the memory some helps in this regard. This has also been shown with ASUS MARS II quad sli and even somewhat with Single Mars II, it starts to cough where some of the cards that have enough Vram wouldnt.

2x560ti overclocked, 2x570 or 2x580 will be faster and sometimes with the right shopping cheaper, sometimes alot, then a single 590(in the case of the 560Ti or 570) I myself would rather have 2 properly designed cards that use properly rated coolers, Vregs and such, then 1 expensive, barely able to handle its self, usually unable to overclock because of Vregs already stressed card.

If oyu have the $, 2 3gb 580 will absolutely decimate everything in thier path, 2 560Ti superclocked/OC/Classified/FTW you get the picture will also be bleeding fast and be alot less $ then 2x580 3gb.

I think, only 2x580 3gb will be able to play comfortably with most things maxed at 2500+ range reso without suffering, dont but into the hype and waste your $ and be upset, its not worth it.

Oh yeh, and better make sure you have a very good power supply in the 850+ range.
