I have a question. I'm really tempted to get a new 24" lcd to replace my old 22", in which case my native resolution will jump from 1680x1050 to full 1080p HD. I'm currently running Radeon HD 5850 1GB and I'm able to run most games at high to ultra settings (medium for BF3), but how much will that change once I up the resolution? Should I be looking to get a new video card (6970 2GB, perhaps?), too?

Thanks!

Will the 560 Ti be good for the next year at least for gaming?

I only game at 1440x900 and am still running my old 8800GTX.

I could run BC2 on max settings silky smooth so was very disappointed to have to drop everything to low for BF3 to see the same smooth framerate.
What would be my best bang for the buck to be able to bump settings back up to high? System specs over there --------------------------------------------------------------------------->
