MSI GeForce GTX 580 - Worth it?

Hello everyone.
I really need a new GFX. At the moment I am running with a ATI 4870x2 2GB. This card have served me VERY well for the last 3 years now but sadly I must admit.. It's time to let go. Thank you 4870x2. You will be remembered.

Now.. A new card! I would gladly buy a GTX 590 but here in Denmark, they are all sold out :( However I found a guy in the town I am living in who is willing to sell one of his cards to me, MSI GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB.

He says its 2-3 months old and works fine. Price at retailers is 497,23 EUR.
My price? 362,84 EUR.

Is that a good trade for me?

What resolution were you gaming at previously and/or plan on gaming at in the future. If its 1920 x 1080 or higher then yes its well worth the upgrade and the price. However if you game at a lower resolution you're going to be wasting money on a 580 as you won't be using the full potential of the card really.

Yea that's a good deal. What is the GTx 590 going for there.

GTX 590 is going at 867,01 USD / 631,62 EUR in Denmark.

Yep, at that resolution and price it's a great deal and you'll get a lot of out the card with that setup as well.

My GTX580 runs BF3 highest settings @ 1920x1200, you'll be good to go.
