GTX 570 SLI vs. GTX 590

$600 for SLI or $700 for Single??

Dunno what to do with the 570's after GTX600 launch =\
I would sli the 590 later, but I've never gone quad sli =\

You have to ask yourself which will you have longer. If you think it would be the 590 and sli'ing it later then go that route. If you think going 2 570s then going to kepler, I'd go with the first.

True, what do you think will be easier to sell after the kepler? 2 570's or 1 590?

They will both be easy to sell, the main question is which is going to depreciate in value more. That I have no idea, depends on how much kepler can beat them

But wouldn't the GTX 570's lose more value then the GTX 590, when the Kepler cards come out.
Even if the Kepler's are 10% faster you know people will buy them.
Also doesn't a single GTX 590 3GB beat GTX 570 SLi. Maybe I am wrong.

The 590 is what I would opt for, Sometimes single card solutions with dual GPUs are better bet.
Resale will be much better I think on a 590. Much like how resale value stayed high for the GX2's long after there time had come and gone.

GTX 570 SLI beats a GTX 590. Also, you would lose quite a lot more on buying a GTX 590 once the GTX600 series launches because that card is priced so high.

Also, Quad SLI does not scale well at all, often it is beaten by Tri-SLI. Tri-SLI is currently the best config.

But even being that the GTX 590 is a dual GPU, would think it would beat the two GTX 570's

GTX 590 = 2 580's toned down quite a bit to meet the thermal and power regulations. So basically 2 570's.

590 stock clocks are 607/1215. the 570's are 732/1464
