Ok it isn't going to get much better than this. 9600GT - $130 However it is AMIR so up front it's still $180 :(

3850 is a great card imo. Go with a 3850.

A 3850 is not all that bad a card, mine seems decent enough as far as I can tell(for it's price). But remember, Rivatuner 2.08, Rivatuner 2.08, Rivatuner 2.08! ...if you intend to use the stock cooler that is.

Unless I am mistaken there was one on NCIX for sale at $164. Can't quite remember though, check out their current sale.

a 9600 blows a 3850 out of the water right? Because I put up my TV tuner card and my 8600 on redflagdeals for 175 bucks for both of them. I will take 150 bucks though because if I get at least 50 bucks for my birthday at the end of the month I should be able to afford a 9600. It may not be a 8800 but its about as close as I am going to get.

Weell.. It really depends what you run. From what I have seen it is ether about the same as a HD3850 or somewhat better. I would not say it blows the HD3850 completely out of the water but technically it is the better performer.

The 8800GS is $108 AR at NCIX right now, even gets you free shipping on your entire order, so you're really saving even more. Not as good as the 9600, but it beats the 3850.
