Default Graphics Cards... Help!

Just getting back into PC gaming after a long hiatus... Building my new pc (asus z68d mobo and 2600k) and there are way too many cards to choose from. I'm fairly set on Nvidia and EVGA, and I'm on a budget so I've been lookin at the EVGA 560 Ti DS. This a good choice, or should I cheap out and go for a 550 to carry me over until pci 3.0 on the horizon comes mainstream and prices come down?

You do not want a 550ti, go for the 560ti. What res will you be gaming at?

I would agree with the previous posts; 560Ti would be the card for you. Should be fine if you upgrade to a larger monitor too.

How soon do you need a new card? I'm thinking, Nvidia must be about ready to release a new series,in which case, prices should drop considerably.

That's what I'm thinking with PCI 3 coming out, and I can't say that gaming is an urgent need so I can probably wait and take a smaller hit on my wallet

pci-e 3 will make no difference at all with current video cards, and probably wont for at least 5 years.

Go with the GTX 560Ti , or if you can wait then wait till the price do come down. That's what I am waiting for.
