Single more powerful card always over a multicard setup.

So 570 or a 6970.

6970 single, i tried the 6870 cfx and just about shot my self. the cfx drivers for the 68xx series are terrible while the ones for the 69xx series are amazing. then the 570's have less than optimal pwms.

Strange. I haven't noticed a single problem with my asus 6870's crossfired. My fps has nearly doubled in Starcraft 2 on extreme settings 1920 x 1200. Then again sc2 isn't a very graphic intensive game.

Couldn't have said it better myself, including my own personal experience with 6870 cfx

I would go single if you can, though I have a 6870 crossfire I set that up before the 69xx came out. I don't know what people are talking about with issues, the only problem I had was with crysis 2 when it first came out.

Still confused I'm on the fence now between gtx570 gtx580 or hd6970

The only benchmark for BF3 shows very little difference in 1920x1200 with those cards

Single card? 6970. Planning on a dual setup at the future? GTX570.
