GTX260SLI, GTX460/560Ti, or new CPU?

As the title suggests. Should I buy a second 260 (cheaaaap, about $50-100), upgrade to a 460/470/560Ti/570, or jump to an i5 2500k and stick with my current 260.

BF:BC2 matters most to me, as well as BF3 when it is released. I play at 1680x1050 (maybe 1920x1080 if I get a new monitor soon).

For ideal game-play CPU and GPU will need to be replaced, but if I had to pick one I would say upgrade graphics to 560Ti/570. With that you will have a good graphics card that will be CPU bottlenecked. Then, when you can upgrade the CPU, the GPU can carry over to the new build.

I did not notice much difference going from my 260 to my 460 in BC2 and such.

I had a 260, then SLI, sold one, enjoyed glitch free single card gaming, then upgraded everything for a i5 and a 460. I plan on upgrading the 460 later this autumn when the 6-series come out.

My suggestion, hold off a few weeks/months, upgrade CPU and GPU and by then maybe the 6XX series will be out. I'm sure even the lower end 6-series will be better then a 260GTX by then.

Hmmmm, maybe it is best to replace both first. Given that CPU/Mobo prices fall slower than a GPU I'd go i5 first, and then probably pick up the new card less than a month or so after. Unless I hear any rumours of expected 6xx release dates.

i went from a dual core to a quad. with same video card
before i was playing at 1280 x 1024 everything on low

now i'm 1600 x 900 with everything on medium and getting higher frame rates
ATI 5770 is my card

That's what I wanna hear! 5770 is perfectly comparable to my 260.

I'm definitely looking up a new i5/p67 right now. Is the MSI P67-G43 a decent choice? NCIX has it on a bundle sale.

Didn't realize BF liked cores that much. If that is the case I take back my previous suggestion and say go i5 2400 (if not OCing) or 2500k (if overclocking), and keep the 260 for now.
