Question Which 8800gts 512 or gt?

This BFG seems interesting at 283.88$
BFG GeForce 8800GTS 650MHZ 512MB 1.94GHZ DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Retail Video Card - DirectCanada

or this XFX at 299.99$
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...X&promoid=1001

My brand choices are EVGA, XFX and BFG.

Are the 8800gt a better deal?

thanks

I'd say GT is a better deal, you can get one for ~$220

You can get a Galaxy one for $209, I know its not eVGA or BFG , XFX.
But I have heard there a good brand.

I purchased this card ( http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...media%20Inc%2E ) for a computer I built for my kids. Very impressed. Uses the G92 chip (65nm) and it scored very close to my 8800GTX! Surprised me. Going to see about updating it to SLI and see what I get.

I got the BFG 8800 GTS.

For big, hot cards, I much prefer good coolers that exhaust the air from the case.

Also my case don't have a lot of fan. I use my old Antec with 2 80mm fans (1 blows in and the other blows out) I have also the true with a scythe sflex inside. My psu is a Corsair 550W. I think that the gts will be better to blow is hot air directly outside. What do you think?

A better cooler, 75 MHz faster core, 140 MHz faster memory, 174 MHz faster shaders and 16 extra stream processors.

Might not be worth it to everyone, but it was for me.

It's also a fair amount faster, around the speed of the GTX. Whether that's worth the extra money is up to you.
