Currently I'm thinking of either selling the gtx 295 (and i think its not likely to still get good money for it) or
using it as a PhysX card.
Looking through the settings tough it seems that you can only dedicate one of the two gpu's to physX.
I know one gpu might already be overkill, but for the future is it possible to assign them both to physX?
If not, be warned. Then it does not seem to be worth buying a double gpu card for physX if you can only use one.
Are there any other ways I can use the gtx295 to improve my pc's performance? (utilizing cuda or the memory) B.t.w. I'm not an expert on these matters, so this question might be stupid.
Thanks in advance. |
You could get $100 - $130 for the card on the BST if you tried. It's a fairly popular card with folders. On the other hand, you could keep it, and use it to fold for us.
It would only use one of the cores for Physx, leaving the other one idle. Therefore, as a secondary PhysX card, it really is 'overkill', not just futureproof.
