130 FPS???, I find that hard to believe, you must not have the settings up all the way
BTW using the latest drivers, it's not like this is a huge problem considering it's my backup card just in case my 480 goes bad on me.

Is there a lot of RMAs with XFX? I read a lot of horror stories with XFX, not for the experience necessarily but it seems a lot of XFX cards go bad.

Maybe that's why they have the lifetime warranty? They're built with low quality components and so they expect a certain number of RMAs but they compromise or accept that by charging higher prices and having the RMA deal making their cards look more attractive to customers who value them a lot?

All I know is they seem to be the company that moves to non-reference cards the fastest.

Comments?

Ya ya ya i know i am reviving an old thread...
I've got 2 of the GF GTX260 666M 896MB DDR3 DUAL DVI TV PCI-E, GX-260N-ADBF.
Im probably going to rma them too, but i spent over $330+tax on each gpu back in 09' and i also liquid cooled both of them and that was about $100+tax to fit each of them with a water block, because i was having so much trouble with them. Liquid cooling only slightly helped and they still would crash with in 10min to one hour of game play or even doing light stuff. Im wondering what you guys think i might get for my two cards. considering i spent quite a bit more than most people on them. i am hoping for them to fix them... but i know thats not going to happen. i really dont want ati cards, but i see what i can get. i dont think i'd go for anything less than a 6950 after all that i have went through, not to say that other people haven gone through hell with their 260's...

Your most likely going to get a 6850 like the OP, or if your unlucky a 5770. You will definitely not get a 6950 back. 6950 is not comparable to a gtx 260. And when you get back a card lets hope its not a dud like many others have complained about in their horror stories :p

Damn, how long did it take for XFX to reply your support ticket? It's been almost a week for mine. My 5870 died...

My ticket has been open since before September and its only being RMA'd now.... I am surprised that the ticket stayed open for this long.

O.T.
Well looking at other threads, its not so bad. It is an ATI card, but at least it might work. I have seen other people offered a ATI HD 4890, so a 6850 cant be to bad at least it's got DX11. And that was back in January of 2011.

Thanks,
GoatHornz

Exclamation Oh well...

Well defiantly not as lucky as you in my rma. i received two gtx 275's for my 260 216core BE's, while i had water-blocks for... the cards them selves are not bad, but i would have much rather something with dx11. I'll probably upgrade to a single high end gpu in the up coming year, after the 600's have been out for a while and the prices go down. XFX actually sent the replacement cards in two of their own boxes with all accessories and everything else it would if you bought it brand new.
