I've got an xfx 6850, and I was just curious if there is a way to run 3 monitors with this card. Right now i have 2 monitors side by side connected via the DVI ports. Is there a way to use the HDMI port to connect a third?

Another sort of related question, Does this 6850 support audio over dvi?

yes you can run eyefinity with one card, no you can not use hdmi you have to use displayport. And yes it supports audio over dvi as long as you use a dvi-hdmi dongle.

Thank you Supa, how does one go about enabling the audio. I'm using a dvi to hdmi cable, and I know I can carry audio because I had audio over dvi/hdmi on my old gts450

You'll need to make sure you have the entire CCC installed, as I don't think the audio driver comes with the 'driver only' install. Once that's done, you should be able to set up your default sound in your 'Playback Devices' to come from the GPU.
