Will it unlock?

Sale on NCIX. Overclocknet forum says this isn't a reference card yet it is advertised as a reference card on NCIX. Any thought? It seems to be a great deal if it will unlock.

Luck of the draw, but most probably this is the newer non-reference revision which cannot be unlocked as stocks from Amazon and Newegg only carry the non-reference design now. The SKU number is the same but retailers never updated the "pictures".

Just to make it clear. This SKU # 900352 has two versions, the old unlockable reference design and the new non-reference version which cannot be unlocked. The new non-reference design apparently started shipping in June but the retailers never updated the pictures in their websites, hence the confusion.

I have the visiontek 6950, just like the on you see in the picture (whether or not NCIX is selling the same version, I can't say) but I didn't have any luck unlocking it at all via various methods. I eventually gave up and just oc'd it with Afterburner.

Have read and heard of others that were able to unlock the Visiontek model though.
