Question better than geforce 315?

could anyone please help me, i've been out of luck to find a graphic card better than my geforce 315 1gb version...

my case is a small form factor and i need a better card than that one!
the dimensions (ideally) would be same or smaller!
I want to do some gaming but that one ain't good enough.
so please help me out, i need it!
as for my budget its 400$.

thanks in advance

gaming + small form factor do not mix. I'd invest some of that $400 in getting a full size compatible case first, then worry about gaming later. you could grab a nice case and a 560 ti for $400 easily I'm sure, but that depends on your computer's other specs, which you should list. I'm guessing your SFF GF315 computer probably has a crappy psu as well?

honestly idk much about it cuz i didnt took the side off to check the psu but i would be suprised if it would be crappy

btw i know that small for factor dont match with gaming but i only need a decent graphic card and ill be all set....

this pc would run any game but the graphic card is the thing thats holding back..

and i dont want to get another pc now i just bought that one.
maybe ill build one next year.

well, as far as I know, your best bet (I think) is your classic low profile Radeon 5570

I would expect the GT 430 to be your best small form factor option.

it is about twice as powerful as the GT315. which isn't a lot, so don't expect miracles.

Lucky its very cheap.

pick one with a decent fan on it, overclock it and you might get some playable frame rates.

AnandTech - NVIDIA's GeForce GT 430: The Next HTPC King?

5570 generally beats out the 430 by a small margin.

Depends on the game, and I'd consider 1-2 fps to be within the margin of error. So it will come to personal preference.

Gigabyte's GT430 comes with a slight overclock and a fairly robust cooling solution for a low profile card.
You should be able to overclock a GT430 north of 800mhz with ease, and squeeze a fair bit more out of the memory ~2100mhz.

At those clocks you should actually be able to play games and not have it look like garbage.

Now the ATI 5570 might overclock well too but i am unfamiliar with ATI/AMD cards.

umm.. I'm wondering where you get 1 - 2 fps from? BC2, Crysis for example I see 6 to 10 fps difference, that's a 20% fps difference, especially important at the already low fps these low end cards offer. This is the difference between playable and not at medium quality settings.

and yes, the Radeon's overclock.

Anything that is PCI-e X16 which I imagine your old one is, will slot in without issue.
