i see people buying refurbished GTX 465 on newegg, especially the one from PNY and unlocking to GTX 470. Is a pretty good deal for 110$. how good is it? better than the 560Ti?

Why isn't the GTX570 in your short list? I'm debating the same list with the addition of the GTX570... to go on a 2500K / P68 combo.

Not to highjack your thread, but i am in the same boat. Not sure what to get.

i am between

Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti 822MHZ 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini-HDMI DisplayPort DX11 PCI-E Video Card

and

Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI HDMI DisplayPort Video Card

I plan to be gaming on a 27" monitor at
Resolution: 2560x1440 pixels

what do you guys suggest?

Especially with your resolution you want to go with the 2gb 6950...

For the original poster you should also go with the 6950 and unlock the shaders then you will blow the gtx 560ti out of the water.

Unlikely that you can unlock the shaders on any radeon 6950 these days, so you would have to likely stick to the 1408 shaders.

I vote for the 560TI and enjoying the much better driver support compared with ATI's offerings..

without looking for any stories with drivers(no pun intended st)

go straight for the 6950. if ever you add another one down the road or not it will be worth it.

the more buffer for the memory the better it should do at higher resolutions/multi monitor applications.
