My System Specs

Default 6950 Crossfire 1gb

So I am thinking about going crossfire but the card I have now is a 6950 1gb. Should I go 2gb for the second card or stick with 2 1gb's? If I crossfire the 2gb with the 1gb it will be only be 1gb so what would be the best way to go?

is this for single monitor use?

the 1 gigs should be fine.

i might be wrong, but i think you need two of the same? although in theory 1+2 gigers should
be able to crossfire with each other and 6970 as well due to the core being of the same family...:)

Apparently 1 and 2 gb cards will crossfire but you will only be using 1 gb on the 2gb card so it's kind of pointless.
