Default GTX 460 vs GTX 560

Hi all,

I am running dual GTX 460s in 2 different systems, doing F@H.
My daily output is around 70k or so.

Would I gain enough to warrant buying GTX 560s to replace existing?

I did not see a thread like this, so if there is one, I apologize in advance.

Take care, and thanx!!..........

Hi bud,

I wish......There are TWO systems with dual GTX 460s each, or 4 GTX 460s for F@H.
That and I have an i7-950 in one.
In fact, one of the systems you and a few helped me build last year.

Take care......

I wouldn't think so. The 560ti has the same core as a 460 but with the remaining 13.5%(48) cuda cores unlocked and 18%(145Mhz) core speed difference, which most 460s can be overclocked that if not more, and a bit of power savings(about $20 a year per card). So if you bought the 560ti's you'd gain 13.5%, abit more if you oc'd the 560's, roughly over what you have now if you oc'd the 460's for 600-800+taxes and maybe shipping depending on which 560 you bought and how much you sold the 460's for.

Hi all,

Cool, thanx for the input.

All 4 of my GTX 460 cards are O/C'd now, so, no point in spending that large amount of money for virtually no gain for 4 new cards.
Besides here in the Pacific Northwest, electricity is cheaper than beer.

Take care, and again, thanx for the input.............

PS: Nobody tried to recruit me for HWC Folding.

Hi bud,

Yes you all did.

One of these days I will join, I promise.
There is only 3 of us left in my team, since Zero82z left us.
One of the three does not even know he is on the team, a friend fixed his computer a long time ago and joined him.

Don't be surprised..............
