yeah I had the same issue....but my lcd had DVI I needed to go out and buy a DVI cable.

And for 3 LCD on one 6870, it is really not that bad on FPS. Sure you have to play on medium settings but it does good.

ya you can pick up non-active display port to dvi converters


also the higher end cards have the same limitations

1 monitor has to be on the display port
the other 2 can be on any of the other connections

you sir do not know what you talk about
there are SINGLE LINK display adapter to DVI

specifically made for eyefinity

my best friend has one, he had the same problem

Newegg.ca - eyefinity adapter



he had gotten other display adapter to dvi and it did not work
once i showed him this. all his problems went away

Who doesn't know what they are talking about?

If you know how to connect 3 VGA monitors to a 6870, please tell me. I'll pass it on to Diamond MM.

Are you saying that I should connect the monitors as follows:
1) VGA->DVI adapter>DVI-I port (done)
2) VGA->displayport adapter->mDP adapter->mDP (done and working via a $12 ebay adapter)
3) ???????????????????

Default 3 x VGA + adapters DOES work

Long story short, I now have a Powercolor 6870 running my 3 VGA monitors in eyefinity - using the DVI-I port and both mini-DPs. AND using $14 mini-DP ->VGA adapters at that.
