What CPU do you have? And what resolution do you play at? |
Power supply is another thing we'll need to know as well |
my CPU is AMD Athlon 5600+ dual core processor.. my PSU is not a problem at all.... i generally play at 1024x768 or 1152x864 guys plzz tell me if ATI RADEON HD 4670/ATI RADEON 5570 will be a good choice considering my requirements... |
Considering your needs, I'd jump on this offer: HD5770 |
Bad news, it appears the card I suggested previously was a pricing error. Here are some used suggestions which would all be better than either of your choices: EVGA GTS450 for 80$ shipped Sapphire HD4860 for 65$ shipped MSI GTX275 for 90$ shipped Sapphire HD5770 for 100$ EVGA GTX260 for 75$ |
well, start with a guts upgrade, then worry about middle of the pack or higher gpu upgrade. right now a 2500 sb chippie should be the best thing since sliced bread. next month or so amd is supposed to come back in the race with bulldozer chippies...:) |
Video Cards I agree with dang, the man. Add another gb of ram for better speeds yet. You may b able to get a decent quad core/mobo, or simply replace your current 1 with a quad. There's a quad at Tiger Direct 4 a decent price. How about a phenom II x4 940 black edition 4 $127 + the government's share, which is still less than $150. If you like 2 oc, it's a black edition! After replacing your cpu, and adding more ram, consider moving up 2 a higher res.monitor as suggested by another member. After that, you'll be able 2 make better use of your gpu as well. U mentioned the psu wasn't a problem, 4 a decent gpu a 500w is recommended as minimum, and with those upgrades a good 650w would allow 4 a more powerful gpu down the road. There are a lot of guys who could help u, and trolling the BST can save even more $ 4 the same, if not better, components. Good luck and let us know what u decide, out of curiosity.:thumb: |
Do remember the OP is in India so I'm guessing things are a bit more costly... I think a GTS450 or HD5750/70 would be good choices, depending how much they cost in India. |
hey guys... i just now checked my PSU and could not make out what it meant so i uploaded a picture of it........ It's a request from all of you to please take a look and tell me if it's suitable for ATI Radeon HD 5570/5670..or other similar cards below is the link problem :: COMPSU.png picture by vergil1205 - Photobucket |
